Lucifer, the angel of Evil, expelled from Paradise managed to steal a piece of it and brought this piece of Eden with him to earth, thus forming the gulf of Naples. Grieved by this loss, Jesus Christ began to weep and shed tears right on Vesuvius; from these sweet tears arose some viti e un’uva dal sapore angelico: Lacryma Christi.
